The list by Robin Williams Jr of the ten central values in American culture, I do not think the list would be different nor do I believe the value of the original list has changed too much. The values in the list are still what Americans’ believe or still think it holds true 45 years later. We still believe there should be opportunities equally for every person that puts forth the efforts and has the talent should have the same opportunities as the next person. We expect scientist to create and improve our lives, we feel the newest things are the better things to make life more comfortable. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) created in 1971 to improve workplace principles. (USA, 2015) The other change is the attitude toward individual achievement still encourage competition however now some people feel encourage competition is only for adults. Some want to praise all children/youths with participation awards, and not encouragement of competition by reaching to be the best.
