They are individual freedom, self-reliance, equality of opportunity, competition, material wealth, hard work

2. Values are part of our worldviews. As we already know, our worldviews shape our lifestyles. How has the American values shaped lifestyles of Americans? Give examples.
Value of self-reliance - Most American children must not depend on their parents after they are 18.
Value of competition – Many Americans are very competitive, the competition puts a lot of stress on them.
Value of wealth and hard work – A lot of Americans work hard because they want to be rich. Social status is measured by wealth in US, but today also many people realize that by working hard they do not become rich.
