171 Words1 Pages
The independent variable in the experiment was the different types of locations used. In the experiment only two different types of locations were used, the park and the desert. In order to test the biodiversity and have accurate results it was needed to have multiple sites to test the effect of human interference. The differences in the two locations were that the desert had little to no human interference allowing time and room for the plants to grow, creating more biodiversity, versus the park which had many people who go through there causing damage to the area. The independent variable could be manipulated easily by choosing different sites to go to. Many different options could have been chosen; including, deserts, parks, lakes, rivers
