The documentary Evolution of a Criminal follows a man by the name of Darius Monroe, after he served 10 years for robbing a bank in his home town. He did it to help out his struggling parents, but that doesn’t make it right. The poem Invictus states “I am the captain of my fate, I am the master of my soul.” I referred to this to say that no matter his situation or what he was going through it was his decision to commit the crime, he in responsible for himself.
