Application Paper Social and Culture Issues For the last couple of weeks in class we touched on a bit about Social and Cultural issues in chapter one. Specifically diversity in Health care. There are patients who are diverse in terms of social status, gender, sexual orientation, race and etc. Those of whom are diverse play a big role in health care because they offer different ways of defining health care. In the article the main point is to prove and show that diversity matters in the medical field. Diversity is important because it is associated with those who have improved access to health care for racial and ethnic minority patients. In the article it says that developing neighborhoods in the country can send their best diverse students to the medical field to better their communities. In a News Article, they talk about the importance of diversity in health care. Diversity matters and as its evolving it will ensure stronger health work force, for our community. To do that, we have to better understand racial minority groups, therefore diversity is important. The article portrays social and cultural issues by talking about how diversity can lead research results accurately. The article shows social and cultural issues such as the needed for expansion to cover all diverse patients so it could also increase their population in diversity among health professionals.
