The Man’yoshu poems are the elements of human expression: love, separation, and respect. The poems frequently refer to the Japanese myths and legends that show their correlation between earth to heaven. From the Man'youshu poems, I choose the Emperor Jomei poem that tells about the journey to climb the Mountain Kagu and views the land of Yamato. The author uses natural images to represent the Japanese cultural symbolism.
