In the novel Graffiti Moon written by Cath Crowley, the Author tries and makes the Vermeer painting enlighten the characters of Graffiti Moon. Vermeer painting is shown and makes it believe that it is powerful. Cath Crowley also makes the Vermeer painting give joy to the characters and tries to change the character’s perspective of the painting and make them think differently of life.

In Graffiti Moon, Vermeer’s painting is shown as a powerful piece of art because of her painting we can get that the artist is a powerful and strong character. The painting is of ‘a woman holding a balance.’ This can make the characters have different perspectives on what the picture is actually trying to show.
