The Ancient Greeks were affected in many ways by the things around and in the country called Greece. The geography of the land has had a great influence on Greece and the inhabitants. Throughout the history of Greece, there came more effects to the people who lived there. Some of these effects on the Ancient Greek civilization were positive and some were negative. Most of these effects were beneficial to the Greeks.

The classical Greeks contributed to, and influenced Western Civilization in several ways. For example, the classical Greeks contributed in many ways in the areas of the arts, both in visual pictures and physical sculptures. Socrates created the socratic method which today is known as the scientific method which is still commonly used in science. Some of the greatest achievement in Greek were science and math from medicine, biology, physics, geometry, psychology, and astronomy.

In this paper I firstly describe these various forms of government and provide examples of their use in Ancient Greece. I then compare and contrast the models.
