Pachirtat writes, “This book provides a firsthand account of contemporary, industrialized slaughter and does so to provoke reflection on how distance and concealment operate as mechanisms of power in modern society.” (3) Pachirtat’s main argument of this book is not to bring light to the thirty-three million cows that are killed every year in the United States, but to make an argument on how distance and concealment of the slaughterhouse are hidden by power. Pachirtat explains that there are laws put into place that prevent any outsiders to enter the slaughterhouse and to keep what is going on inside hidden from society. Throughout the book Pachirtat’s style of writing can make the biggest meat lover think twice before biting into their next hamburger, the main argument is not the cow. He states that “this book does not engage directly with arguments for animals rights, it is my deepest hope that its detailed account of industrialized killing will invite readers to seek a more thoughtful relationship with the nonhuman creatures.
This shows how oblivious many people are to the poor treatment of cattle. This is important to my essay because it informs the reader how important it is to be aware of where their dairy produce comes from. No one should support farmers, like Undre, knowing how they treat cows. Second, the article gives me a specific example of how many farmers malnourish their cows. Third, Undre’s consequences will help me show the readers that the practices of many farmers should not be tolerated.
Horse and human natures are not compatible, nor are their foods the same
Working with animals can be very unpredictable especially when it comes to cows. Mother cows can mean the meanest and most unpredictable around their calves. Having respect for them and their space is what keeps me safe from anything that may come my way. Aside from the responsibility for the animals I have the responsibility of making sure others are safe as well. From working with the animals to operating machinery to take care of the animals.
In the articles “An Animals Place,” by Michael Pollan, and “The Omnivore’s Delusion: Against the Agri-intellectuals,” by Blake Hurst, the controversial methods of farming in today’s society are examined. Modern farming methods are a relevant topic of discussion because the foods that people consume have a direct impact on their health, therefore they should be aware of the procedures that farming methods employ. Pollan and Hurst have differing beliefs on farming methods, but similar interests in the environment, people, and animals. In the article “An Animals Place,” the author, Michael Pollan sheds light on the barbaric institution of American meat-packing.

The definition of fearless is lacking of fear. Fear is being afraid of something or someone is going to cause pain or grief. There are so many words to that could be used to descride someone that is fearless. Many people who are fearless have embraced their fears to overcome them. Sometimes people face their fears because they are selfless.
There is an important question many people today wonder; I found that there are several people who see how showing livestock affects kids in school and in life. I chose this topic because so many people think that showing livestock is just a waste of time and money, but they have no idea what it entails. Other people don’t realize that showing livestock isn’t about the money or just having a pet. I am writing this paper because everybody should know that showing isn’t about having a pet, it’s about gaining responsibilities and learning new things that can help you later in life. Showing livestock helps children go farther in life because it teaches them more responsibility, they work harder, and they never give up on their dreams.
There are many reasons why people choose not to eat meat. Studies indicate how animals are mistreated. Animals’ are known to carry diseases but are more seen as impure for they are injected with steroids, drugs and hormones in order to produce larger quantities of meat which not only has a negative effect on the animal but can lead to cancer in humans. Some of the animals were known as their partners such as dogs which were sometimes used to pull loads and equipment. In return they were fed and taken care of. Other animals were dangerous to humans and humans made sure they protected themselves from them such as the mammoth, and the saber-toothed cats. Dogs sometimes protected humans from other animals. Humans usually protected themselves from those animals by hunting them.
The relationship between humans and horses throughout history has consistently followed the same types of patterns. Some people see horses as sweet companions to bond with, while others see them as work animals. However, the one idea that needs to be grasped by every person is that horses need proper training. My argument is that horses need to be taught manners based on how horses naturally establish a pecking order in a herd. This type of training is called “Natural Horsemanship”.
Eating meat is beneficial to humanity, because they provide nourishment that cannot be obtained from other sources. Without the support of animals, humans lack a distinctive diet, that is essential to their well-being. However, since animals are so important to the diet, they deserve great care and respect as well. Humans were always hunters and gathers. They always knew that meat was a big source of protein that helped keep them going(Araki).
Humans and animals are loyal, friendly, and understanding species which allows them to understand each other. People and animals are like no other, they can share a special bond and learn to love one another other. But, there are reasons why they are so loyal to one and other, why they are friendly to one and other, and why they understand each other. These bonds are often unbreakable. One way people and animals get along is when they show loyalty to each other.
On the one hand, some people are favorable for killing animals. It has many opinions why they have accepted. Their reasons with cruelty make them get many benefits such as nutrient, knowledge, safety, prevention, and money. The first reason for killing animals is humans killed them for consuming such as pork made from pigs, beef made from cows, and lamp made from sheep. Human’s life exists to cause by plants and animals.
