Andrew Jackson, a man with a hard soul and an unforgiving manner. He was tough, but did he go over the edge? Jackson definitely pushed his will has a president in a different, unwillingly fashion. Andrew Jackson's nickname is ¨Old Hickory¨ for a reason. He was stubborn, tough to work with, and non-compromising. Jackson was racist, sent tons of Indians to Oklahoma for no good reason, and was a murderer! To start, Andrew Jackson is racist to anyone that is colored. Jackson, a racist man, did not like colored folks-especially Native Americans-and he wasn't subtle about it either. Jackson was possibly the most violent president the U.S. has ever had. After the War of 1812, Jackson felt that there should be another battle for the war, so he battled the British from January 8-18, 1815. That is a whole another year after the war ended! He hated the British with a passion after he got slashed by a British officer when he was a young teen. Which shows that Jackson is a brutal, unforgiving man. The 7th president of the United States of America also murdered a man by cheat! Andrew Jackson had a good amount of duels with a variety of different men, but one was just a little different than the others. On one day, Jackson was in a duel with Charles Dickinson on May 30, 1806. Jackson took the first shot but the bullet never came out so Dickinson shot Jackson in the shoulder. The rule is that the people get one shot each and none after that, but Jackson broke the rule by cocking his gun back again and fired at Dickinson hitting him in the abdomen killing him a few days later.
