Andrew Jackson was a very interesting person who had many sides. He did many good and bad things while he was a general and a president. He was a controversial president because some people would say that he was a good president some people would say he is a president, however, there are so many things about Jackson that people do not know. Andrew Jackson was not a person that was not found of the Native Americans, he was known for hating them. Although he was born in Poverty, he turned out to be a wealthy slave owner and was also an infamous Indian killer. What people also do not know is that he is in charge of triggering an economic depression by refusing to renew the charter of the Second Bank of the United States and the institution inflation control policies, that also triggered a panic. This is an example of how he was not a good person. One of many bad things that Andrew Jackson did was killing so many indians that he got the nickname “Indian killer”. He thought that the indians were taking up too much of the american land and he killed them instead of asking them without violence. The walk was a long and very harsh journey to travel for many kids and it cost 14 000 people their lives due to hunger and exhaustion.
