Arizona currently has 9 Members in the House and 2 Senators. Both Senators are Republican. 5 Republicans and 4 Democrats make up the House of Representatives. I am from Mesa, Arizona so I live in the 5th district where Republican, Andy Biggs represents. Currently I am residing in the 1st district, Flagstaff, Arizona while I attend Northern Arizona University. The current House of Representative for the city of Flagstaff is Democrat, Tom O’Halleran. The next House member I chose was Republican, Paul Gosar. He is in charge of the 4th district, which I grew up exactly right next too with Meridian St. splitting the 2 areas apart. Biggs states his “main priority while serving in Congress is to restore the constitutional parameters of the federal government” (Biggs, “Congress”). Andy Biggs believes that it is time for Congress to work within the Constitution and stop overstepping federal authority; taking over state’s 10th Amendment Rights (Biggs, “Congress”). Looking into education, Biggs reckons that the “federal government has no rightful place in our education system” (Biggs, “Education”). Based on his government page, you can conclude Andy Biggs is a huge opponent against Obamacare. The politician states that once Obamacare is repealed then he will “support passing further legislation that to remove the federal government from the unconstitutional role of regulating our nation’s health care” (Biggs, “Health”). From these statements, you can conclude that Andy Biggs holds a strong opinion toward state control of government and that he sees too
