This paper was incredibly beneficial to read, due to the fact that the author outlined how gender inequality in Canada has increased in recent years, and the reasons behind this increase. The validity of the author cannot be ignored, the status of the paper as a part of the Canadian Review of Social Policy ensures that all information presented has been meticulously researched. The intended audience of this paper is undeniably the individuals that, like the author, believe that the status of women diminished under the Harper government. The intended audience are those that agree that under the Conservative governments leadership, the mistreatment of women increased, as this is the position held by the author throughout the paper.
