Marriage Around the World
Marriage is a subject that is controversial around the world. Peoples opinions on the matter can be polar opposites, yet, to them they make perfect sense.In the two stories “Another Night At the Club” by Alifa Rifaat and “Same Story, Different Ending’’ by Anila Batool, the reader learns many valuable lessons about society and how relationships work around the world. Those who live in first world countries are blessed with the privilege of having the choice of choosing their lifelong partners based on love, and not by how their family chooses for them. But many countries in the world still have the tradition of choosing who their child marries based on their social class, how much money they’ve acquired over their life and their reputation.

Hearing that information, she went along with the marriage and ended having to face some serious consequences. When Samia lost her most precious ring, she was left to blame her housemaid. When the husband found out about it, he sent some policemen to take this housemaid captive until she confesses. Later on in the night she discovered the ring and told her husband to let the young girl go and forget about the whole situation.
