People are never perfect. They have flaws, mess up’s, and regrets. It’s normal for people to never be perfect, as well as characters from a story. There are people who write them, so the characters will resemble actual people and how reality works. From the story, Antigone, characters made terrible decisions that affected the outcome of the story and how other characters felt about them. Just like people, those characters didn’t know wrong decisions, from the right decisions.
During the beginning of the story, we meet Ismene who is very worrisome and scared of what happened to her brother, Polyneices. After her brother had been defeated in a fight, Ismene’s uncle, Creon, became King of Thebes and claimed Polyneices a traitor for what had happened. When Antigone tries to have a burial for her brother, Ismene backs away and denies helping her sister. She is scared of Creon and what he might do if he finds out that they had a burial for Polyneices. She is also worried what people will say about her and who will find out. He does that because he doesn’t want her death to be purposely done, and it come back on the city. When Antigone is about to be put in the prison, Haimon tells his father that he should not kill her here, because she didn’t do anything wrong in his eyes. Creon decides to take her off and put her in a tomb and feed her there, just in case she was to die under the city. Haimon tells Creon that if she was to die at all, he was going to leave forever and never return to see him. After the conversation, Haimon leaves without saying another word that could have prevented the situation. Haimon could have easily killed or taken Antigone away from Creon, but was too scared. Antigone wouldn’t have died if she was taken away with Haimon and left the
