In the play Antigone Creon is king and he has made many irreversible mistakes and judgments because of how he has all the power of the city they live in. Most tragic hero’s have made huge mistakes because of the power they get. In the play Antigone Creon is a tragic hero because he has realize he has made an irreversible mistake, was born into nobility, and doomed to make a serious error in judgment.

When Creon was going to let Antigone go he finds her like this “Antigone had made a noose of her fine linen well and hanged herself.786” This makes Creon realize that what he did cause the death of Antigone. Haemon says “she is already dead.765” He is saying to Creon that it’s too late to fix what he has done. Creon says to the people with him that Haemon won’t be able to do anything about it “Let him do or dream to do to than a man can. He shall not save these girls. (775)” He is saying that Haemon won’t be able to save these girls because of what they have done. Creon has made really costly judgments like sending Antigone to the cave and saying how his son can’t do anything to save them.Realize they have made an irreversible mistake, born into nobility, and doomed to make a serious error in judgment are all examples of things that tragic hero’s have done. All of these have a big part of Creon being a Tragic hero because it’s everything that he did wrong. He also didn’t listen to what other people thought so he was close minded. This is one of the biggest problems on why he is a tragic hero. The most important part of this whole thing is Creon didn’t care in the beginning of what people of the city said. He only cared about what he thought. By the end of the story he has changed. He finally started to listen to people and think about what he did in a different point of view and now he is going to make better
