Antonella closed the U.S. History text book. “I hate this class! None of this stuff makes sense to me and it’s not like anyone is ever going to talk about this again after June 17th anyway,” Antonella groaned aloud. As Antonella got up from the desk in her room Antonella turned towards the bed and fell forward onto the bed. As Antonella’s eyes got heavier and heavier, all she could mutter was “Who cares about the American Revolution? It’s not like it affected history anyway.” As Antonella fell off into dream land she awoke on a revolutionary battlefield. She awoke to the sounds of gunshots all around her. The boom of cannons followed with the screams of the wounded. She stood up in the tall grass with wind blowing her long dark brown hair in every direction. She noticed the figures in the distance. Her mind immediately related them to the history book she slammed only seconds before. The cover a red border with white stars and a white sans serif font reading American History and below it a hand drawn picture of the soldiers in the American Revolution. On one side the red coats with their weapons drawn, knives sharp and ready to deliver death to the nearest American colonist. On the other stood the colonists, strong and ready for what is to come.
