Bella closed the U.S History textbook. “I HATE THIS CLASS! NONE OF THIS STUFF MAKES SENSE TO ME AND IT’S NOT LIKE ANYONE IS EVER GOING TO TALK ABOUT THIS AFTER JUNE 17TH ANYWAY”. Bella groaned and aloud and Bella got up from her desk and fell forward onto her bed, Bella’s eyes got heavier and heavier and all she could mutter was “who cares about the American Revolution? It’s not like it affected history anyway.” As Bella fell asleep into dream land, she awoke in a Revolutionary field battle. After waking up, Bella was still trying to comprehend what was happening. Then, all of a sudden their conversation was rudely interrupted, because of Shawn’s commander and ordered Bella to leave at once because having a woman in the middle of a war is bad, and she is not fit for the atmosphere and threatened her with death. Bella went to leave, but before she went she stole a horse and a solders pack and she went to find her way home. Later on, as she was riding along she heard her name from a distance, it was Shawn! He told her he left because he did not want to fight for the British anymore, and he wanted to help her find her way home. On their travels they came across a local “pub” and an old man sitting out front, As they stopped to find water, the old man overheard them talking about the war. The old man stopped them and asked if they were talking about the continental congress. They shook their heads yes, and the old man had more to add on “That Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin voted to form a continental army, with George W. as the commander and chief, then the continental army fought the Battle Of Bunker Hill in June 17th. It was very bloody and ended with a victory for the British.” The old man went on “a little while later old G.W. had a hard time keeping those darn English out of Boston and by 1776 the war was in high action, and many people recruited to the war to replace those who have fallen. On July 4th however, the Declaration of Independence was voted in, which gave people hope.” The old man stopped, got up grunted and walked away.
