METHOD In order to better comprehend the phenomena, I created a survey. A survey is a tool used to gather information about a large group of individuals. Surveys are commonly used in psychology research to collect data from participants. Surveys most typically use research tools and can be utilized to collect data or describe naturally occurring phenomena. A survey can be used to investigate the characteristics, behaviors, or opinions of a group of people. Surveys are standardized to ensure that they have reliability and validity. According to the charts, those that identified as African American not only had the highest distrust of the government, but also the highest Score overall. For one, everyone that completed the survey lives in my neighborhood, which means they have a certain level of financial stability allowing them to afford a house there. Thus, my numbers could be skewed based on that premise. Furthermore, the survey didn’t delve very deep, asking short and possibly slightly biased questions. In the future, should I choose to further my research, I will send out a more detailed questionnaire that breaks down responders by gender, education, income, marital status, and more. I will also disperse it further into the community to ensure that the sample population is more
