Recommended: The impact of industrial revolution on Europe

Before Industrialization the world functioned off of the Biological Old Regime. Places functioned off of trades and labor that had to be done by hand. This being the case agriculture was the most prevalent and important means of survival and trade for each place around the world, but with agriculture limits were at hand at each place on what and how much could grow there. China and India became increasing powerful doing this time. China developed a rich powerful economy from trading its silk and India developed the same for its trades in its spices. The industrialization first happened in Europe and to the west in the states. The rest of the world watched the shift of manufactured out puts change “by 1900, India account(ed) for barely 2 percent of world manufacturing output, China about 7 percent, while Europe alone claims 60 percent of the world's total (GDP)” (Marks 2342). Before the industrial revolution though Africa was hard to capture and conquer fully, this was due to serval reasons the main reasoning being diseases (conquerors would die from diseases before they could explore far into this content). With the industrial revolution though explorations had better ships to explore up that lead into central Africa, they had better guns to kill Africans with; which made exploration into Africa even easier and soon came the discovery of the cinchona tree that contained quinine that prevented malaria. In time Africa became divided and conquered by serval European nations, which meant that African political power would shift to the nation that conquered them and that the society and people would be treated as slaves to produces a much raw resources for Europeans to sell and make
