My interests in technology did not come until later in my life; when I attended my first engineering and technology workshop. Back in the summer of 2012 I was accepted into the Rowan University’s Boys Engineering, Science, and Technology (BEST) Program. Throughout the event I was in awe and fascinated by what engineering had to offer. We built bottle rockets and constructed penny bridges, but what stood out to me the most was the hands on experience with computer programming.
Pacific Oaks College culture and pedagogy encompasses several elements that strongly appeal to me. First and foremost, their emphasis on social justice and equity resonates deeply with my personal values. The college's commitment to creating a just and inclusive society aligns with my belief in the transformative power of education for promoting social change. I am inspired by their dedication to fostering understanding, respect, and advocacy for marginalized communities through their curriculum and campus activities. I have never felt so taken care of by a college as I am at Pacific Oaks.
Because technology is part of student interest, the U.S. Department of Education believes that student interest and motivation during the learning process has improved because of the integration of technology. Because the students are so fascinated with technology, their interest remains active and test scores rise. With this, teachers can then move forward and incorporate visual support and tech centered activities that can encourage students to gain successful knowledge and
When deciding what schools I wanted to apply to, Carnegie Mellon was by far my top pick. Not only does it offer a top notch education to students from around the world, but it also offers a variety of math and technology intensive programs. Since the school is very selective of its applicants, the result is a close, tight-knit community of students who care about their education, and who hunger to know more about the world, and use their knowledge and experiences to solve real-world problems. I believe that this type of learning community would suit my learning style and provide the level of academic rigor that I want. I chose the major of engineering because I really enjoy problem solving and critical thinking.
The Benefits of Taking AP Classes in High School Why spend hours doing homework in college, when you could have done it in high school? “The Advanced Placement program has revolutionized high school classrooms around the United States. The program offers rigorous, college-level education to motivated students, and offers the benefit of college credit.” (Mattimore A33).
My love for technology dates back to CD-ROM games, the Windows 97 system, and my father's beeper. I admire technology's ability to create, innovate, and inspire. My major Computer Science
Carnegie Mellon University is a place where innovation and creativity prosper at a dizzying rate and has a seemingly never-ending list of opportunities for a prospective design student such as myself. Design has always been appealing to me, shaping the things we come across in our daily lives and turning our current reality into a better one. Everything we come across has been thought of, drafted, redrafted, scrapped, drafted again - all until it becomes tangible. It's certainly a process, no doubt, but I've been captivated by all the care that's taken regarding design, and it's something I myself would like to be a part of.
And if you are a girl interested in tech, all I can say is be true to your passion, keep your mind open to new ideas and be ready for change and if an opportunity comes, whether in the form of a chance to be in a science fair, starting your own science club or joining a coding program, take it and enjoy every minute of creation, failure and invention that comes with these
What is your intended major? Discuss how your interest in the subject developed and describe any experience you have had in the field — such as volunteer work, internships and employment, participation in student organizations and activities — and what you have gained from your involvement. My intended major is Environmental Studies at the University of California Santa Barbara. While thinking back to when my interest in the subject was sparked, all I could think about was growing up in Oregon, where my dad and I lived on a two-acre piece of property in a very small town outside of Portland.
We have to write an essay about keeping in touch. I don’t really know what to write about or I assume this paper suppose to be about keeping in touch with someone. Here a few idea I think is the best way to keep in touch with someone is by though an email, text message, or even visit that person. Email is a great way to keeping in touch with friend or professor if you're in college.
In spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart. I simply cannot build my hopes up on a foundation consisting of confusion, misery, and death. I see the world gradually being turned into a wilderness, i hear every approaching thunder, which will destroy us too,i can feel the suffering of millions and yet, if I look up into the heavens, I think that it will all come out all right, that this cruelty too will end and that peace and tranquility will return again. This is a quote written by a young girl named Anne Frank in her diary during world war two. Anne diary showed the world the cruelty of war and the suffering of those that were innocent of the cause, her thought have given us a clear image of the reality of her
As a first-generation college student, I’ve changed the course of my family. I’ve set the educational standards and have made a path for my younger sisters and future family to follow; but if I can raise the bar higher, I will. With the countless opportunities that the PATHS program has to offer, I intend to leverage the experience and the resources provided to further my education by working towards a Masters Degree. This goal of mine won’t come without its challenges, but in the event that I do have the honor to become a PATHS scholar, I intend to use my experience of mentorship and academic sucess that I achieved as an Undergraduate and continue to thrive and further my education. In addition to this, I desire to leverage my experience in the PATHS program to land a job in a Bio-technology company in which my career will bring happiness and financially stability to me and my familyI. Not only this, but I yearn to work for a Bio-tech company whose mission statement is dedicated solely on the advancement of science and not on the economic prosperity that comes from developing scientific breakthroughs.
When I was in eighth grade I began to write tech blogs, read blogs, I won the youngest blogger award from TechtodayBD, a technology blog site. I didn't stop there. I came in touch with awesome people who writes codes, inspired by many online communities. when I was in ninth grade I was amazed by web industry, web development. Then I began learning HTML, CSS, PHP languages.
Advanced Placement, or AP, classes in highschool are meant to be rigorous and mentally taxing. Despite the challenges these classes bring, they also provide benefits for the students who persevere through these classes, such as the sense of accomplishment. The sense of accomplishment from different aspects of my life, pressured me to take English III AP. There was a sense of pressure to take English III AP to pursue my passions of filmmaking in the future. While films themselves do not seem to contain the need of what students learn from English III AP, the pre-production of film making needs the intensive knowledge of correct grammar and literary devices, which can be translated into films.
Being good in science, mathematics and having a natural inclination towards programming since early school days has shaped my future ambitions. With a strong determination and a focused goal to become a software engineer, I pursued the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Information
