A person’s entire personality and life revolve around their identity, because your identity is composed of all your life experiences and how you handle new situations. Religion usually takes up a large portion of many people's identities and for many of them, being without the faith they would become empty and alone. Elie Wiesel is a great example of someone’s identity being changed in his memoir “Night”. Elie as a young boy was consumed by his faith in God and wanted nothing more than to learn Zohar, the secrets of Jewish mysticism. As he and his father travel through concentration camps, Elie starts to show bits of rebellion towards his beloved God.
Hercules is very similar to Beowulf, an epic hero. They both share certain qualities, including some that make them desirable to each one's culture. Beowulf is valuable to the Anglo-Saxon people, and Hercules to the Greek people. Although Hercules was originally a foolish boy who made mistakes, he grew into a fabulous hero who is there to save the day. Hercules is a Beowulf-style hero because he has qualities of an epic hero, and is treasured by a group of people.
Similarities between the two heroes are abundant. For example, Gilgamesh and Thor are god-like and part god. Gilgamesh is two-thirds god, one-third man and Thor is a Norse god. Being that they are god and/or god-like, their strength is astonishing. Another similarity between them is their bravery.
One of the differences between the myth and the movie can be seen right in the beginning. Hercules is the son of Zeus and Hera, and not Zeus and one of his many mortal wives. Hera even cares about him, and so does Zeus. They have a party and everything.
The two stories of creation we 're very similar in both Christianity, and the Iroquois. They both had the same outline, but each of them added their own personal twists that made it their own. Their first similarity was the amount of children they had. They both had 2 kids, that we 're opposites. One of the differences about this was that one of the stories was how in one, the kids we 're dire opposites.

The culture in which one grows up in is a element that shapes one’s beliefs. When I was younger, my friends aided to shape my identity. My peers had a great influence on how I defined myself in early childhood because I deeply valued and cared about what others thought of me.
