The Crisis of Personal Identity
Why Identity Matters? Why its connected to our life? Many questions can be asked while keep thinking about this topic. Identity is not just how can I represent myself in front of everyone else so that I can prove that I have values. Many of us thinking of arguing about including identity in every aspect. Struggling to find myself through life is connected to identity and how to be a person with too many expectations.
This paper will focus on multiple aspects and different theories about personal identity and how to become a person through it. The theories of memory and Bundle, and soul with numerical and qualitative identity will be the terms that we need to prove it weather its right or wrong. Let’s say that I born and there was birthday party that I completed one year and everyone around me celebrating. I grew up, in my 20’s I am focusing on my adult life and how to survive and suddenly some on asked me if I remember my first birthday, I may answer it with details which I doubt it because I was one year only. How do I remember al details at that time, or I can remember some of it with blurry vision just to try to answer the question itself and move on? Imagine on senior age could myself still remember what I did in my 20’s, I may be going to say for sure yes I do remember because I was old enough to process the memories, but can I answer the same question about my first-year birthday? I doubt it. Another theory is based on Numerical and Qualitative identity.
