"My identity was a big issue when I was a teenager, and I had a lot of questions, like: 'Who am I? ' 'Who do I belong to? ' But when I was still quite young, I decided that belonging is a tough process in life, and I 'd better say I belonged to myself and the world rather than belonging to one nationality or another". As Hiam Abbas said people belong to themselves, rather than society. We frequently give these questions to ourselves who I am, why I live, what identity is and in every occasion we think deeply , sweat over these but consequently cannot get an authentic and a conscious answer. Identity is something indicates what or who someone or something is, including our characteristics, personality, beliefs, feelings. Some people think identity forms individually not by influence of anything though it doesn 't seem conscious. Currently society creates an impact on human life. More of an impact can be seen among family and peers. They can be found at home, work, and school. At home with family, identity can be created on the difference of having only one parent, divorced or separated parents, no parents, abusive parents, or even negligent parents. For example, children who grow up without a father or mother tends to become more independent at an early age. Another example is where certain experiences within the family such as witnessing parents argue can cause children 's identity to be confined and distant. But, some children try shape their identity similar to their parents. Such as a son became a soldier in the army because his father was in the army.
