Most people strive to and try to do the best they can, especially when they have the ability and power to do so. When using literary theory, you can use it to explore the deeper meaning of what the text is telling you. Batman Nightwalker’s genre is fiction with a subgenre of Young Adult literature and was published in January 2018. Bruce Wayne, Alfred Pennyworth, Harvey Dent, Detective Draccon, and Madeline Wallace. The central conflict that Bruce is dealing with is that he keeps getting involved and caught up in the nightwalker’s crimes that he tries to help and solve. Bruce resolves this conflict by stopping the nightwalkers during the invasion at the Gala. Bruce learned that with power and privilege comes responsibility, and true heroism lies in using that power to protect and serve the greater good, even when it's difficult or dangerous. The mentor often serves as a father or mother, gives the hero gifts, and serves as a role model or as the hero's conscience (Archetypes). Alfred, who serves as Bruce’s butler and confidant, uses his wisdom to guide Bruce as a way of being a second father to him.
