Are Athletes paid too much, or do they get what they deserve? Some people believe that athletes are paid way too much and the money they make could be spent on things that could benefit the greater good like finding cures and helping kids in 3rd world countries. Now some people also think that they are paid what they deserve. They think that the athletes are a good role model and they work and train hard to get in that position. Becoming a professional athlete takes time and dedication to the sport so they do deserve some credit but 300 million is a little too much.

People argue that the training is hard and a lot of them have too put there bodies in danger every game and they work hard to make there money. Also they say that they are good role models to the youth. Also you have to think If you asked an adult who they wanted to be when they grew up they probably wouldn 't say some football player they probably said something like Bill Gates or Warren Buffet. So are they actually a role model? Because there are athletes using roids and I don 't think that is a very good role model for the youth.
Research shows that most athletes go bankrupt after 5 years of getting out because they are used to the big paychecks but when it stops coming in they don 't have the financial qualities that other people have. Now a lot of professional sports players are pretty young so they like to buy nice cars and fancy houses so if they don 't have a lot of money coming in then they can really afford to stay in those huge houses.
Now do the athletes deserve that much money? Well it depends If they are spending money on charities or donating it to research then yes I think they earn the money because there helping for a greater good but if they 're just spending it on themselves being selfish then no they shouldn 't because no one needs 300 million dollars to spend on cars and
