Are Sharks a Problem Predators?
Are sharks problem predators? That’s a controversial question that has been answered. Sharks are not problem predators. Social media makes propaganda towards sharks, and a lot of the times, the information is exaggerated or even false. Most sharks are not dangerous to humans, they don’t really even like people. Also, sharks can cure diseases, it is found that sharks hold cures for some diseases.

“Sharks have been around for millions of years before humans and therefore humans are not part of their normal diets.” Most sharks feed on smaller fish, and the larger sharks eat seals and sea lions. This explains that sharks have no need to hunt humans. Most shark attacks are unprovoked and are related to surfing. Sharks don't know what a surfboard is, so they are curious, which leads to accidental shark attacks. It is true that sharks attacks have increased since 2020-2023, causing them to become an unexpected issue. Since Covid-19 hit us in 2020 and stretched to 2022-2023, no one was really in the vicinity or able to be attacked by sharks, so it makes sense that numbers rise as more people go outside and to beaches. The 73 shark attacks last year 73 are the closest we’ve ever seen to the worldwide average of 72. Shark attacks have increased since 2020-2023, causing them to become an unexpected issue.
