Argumentative Essay: A Weekend Search For Missing Women

A weekend search for a woman who has been missing for a year this month was limited by weather conditions and she remains missing.
Rachel Conger, 30, disappeared last March and her husband, Paul Conger, was found deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound March 16, 2008. At that time, Henry County Sheriff Monte Belew said investigators believe she was the victim of a murder-suicide at the hands of her husband.
Conger's family recruited the CUE Center for Missing Persons to come to Henry County to search for the missing woman over the weekend.
CUE Center Executive Director Monica Caison said assisting in the search were fourteen canine teams and search teams from six states. The Sheriff's Office also assisted the team in this weekend's search …show more content…

She went on to say, my mom was the most amazing woman ever and the best friend I have ever had and that is what keeps me going everyday. I know that one day eventually she will be found because I will never give up looking for my mother, my best friend. I could tell her everything and she wouldn't judge me- only help me and be understanding."
Simmons stated that at any age, it is hard to lose a parent, but is made more difficult in her situation because some people feel the need to gossip about her mother and say hurtful things. She says that she tries to ignore those comments, and focus on the positive people who have done so much to help her. Simmons said, "Over the past year I realize that I should have cherished every day with my Mom and if I could go back, I would make it a point to try and be more understanding and helpful. At this point all we can do is hope and pray for my mother, Rachel Conger, to be found."
Organizers with Bring Rachel Home say that they are planning a candlelight vigil on the one-year anniversary of Rachel Conger's disappearance, but the family has not decided if the vigil is open to the
