One of the most quintessential points to the plot of Macbeth is the murder of Duncan. Prior to this murder of the king, Macbeth had many forces attempting to influence his decision on killing Duncan. Overall, the forces convinced him to kill Duncan in Act 1. Throughout act 1 of Macbeth, despite some of his attempts to withstand, he succumbs to many forces, both internal and external, that lead him to his decision to kill Duncan.
In the short fiction story “The Monkey Garden” by Sandra Cisneros, the author uses deep, rich figurative language to effect the exotic setting. “There were sunflowers, big as flowers on Mars and thick cockscombs bleeding the deep red fringe of theater curtain” (Cisneros 1). A simile is used to create a scene of being on another planet, a place where the monkeys once lived. The usage of descriptive words such as, “ bleeding the deep fringe” (1), and “ thick cockscomb” (1), to give the reader a sense of being in a jungle filled with tropical life and pleasure. The author uses words that are exotic in nature to emanate the jungle scenery.
Loyal subjects of King Duncan, last night on the 15th of August in the year 1040, our great King was murdered in his sleep in the very castle where we are now, Macbeth’s castle Inverness. The weather was foggy and rainy, and something felt off, but no one could put their finger on it. Little did we know, someone terrible was about to happen. Duncan was stabbed multiple times with kitchen knives that the servants use, but you can tell by the stab wounds that it was by someone who did not know how to hold a knife, therefore we can rule out the kitchen staff and servants. It was made to look like someone from the staff, which means that whoever did it was smart.
Around Act 1 Scene 7, Macbeth argues with himself on whether he should murder King Duncan, “If it were done when ’tis done, then ’twere well It were done quickly” where he means that if it the assassination of the king could be done without it returning “...To plague th' inventor” as this “even-handed justice commends the ingredients of our poisoned chalice to our own lips” then it should be done quickly if his murder would have no negative consequences and be successfully completed with his death (surcease), then Macbeth would risk eternal damnation however, he would gladly risk it. Macbeth is aware of the severe consequences that come with murdering King Duncan. He also could not find a reason beside his own ambition as King Duncan “Hath borne his faculties so meek, hath been so clear in his great office, that his virtues will plead like angels, trumpet-tongued, against the deep damnation of his taking-off;” and also that he is his kinsman and his subject who should always protect
The need for Macbeth’s trial stands due to the given evidence for the charges against humanity, murder, and treason. He ruthlessly killed King Duncan, Banquo, and Macduff’s family. Their deaths are in vain if we do not indict him. Macbeth needs a prosecution because he willingly took the immoral path of aimless slaughter and selfish ambition. Even if Lady Macbeth pressured Macbeth, he killed King Duncan impelled by his own selfish ambition and lethal thoughts.

The Most to Blame for King Duncan’s Death In William Shakespeare’s play Macbeth it talks about a hero coming back from a viscous battle, from a group of rebels trying to take over the castle that the king’s lives in. After the hero comes back from a bloody battle he encounters three witches that tell him that he will have three titles one in the past thane of Glamis, one in the present thane of Cawdor, and one in the future king. After the witches tell Macbeth about the prophecy he gets the idea of wanting to be the new king and feels that Duncan should isn’t fit to be the king. After Macbeth and Lady Macbeth have a brief argument on wither Macbeth should kill Duncan.
In the play of Macbeth, there are some characters that could be responsible for Duncan’s death. I personally think Lady Macbeth is the cause of Duncan's murder. She is the most ambitious to kill the king in the beginning of the play, pressuring Macbeth. Lady Macbeth was persuasive of driving Macbeth to commit the murder. She manipulates him to go through with the murder even though he was very doubtful about it.
On the seemingly quiet eve of the 15th of August, King Duncan of Scotland was assassinated in his sleep. King Duncan was celebrating the death of the vulgar rebel MacDonald at the Thane of Cawdor’s Castle briefly before he was killed. MacDonald was killed by the newly appointed Thane of Cawdor, Macbeth, during combat against the Norwegians.
