In the media it is not uncommon to hear stories about celebrities and the uber-wealthy being acquitted of crimes that the common person would be convicted of. For instance, last year Caitlyn Jenner rear-ended a woman after speeding on a rain-slicked highway. The woman died in the fatal crash, and charges of vehicular manslaughter were brought up against Caitlyn, yet the Los Angeles District Attorney dismissed the charges. Ethan Couch’s case is similar except it easier to place blame on the teen as his blood alcohol level was measured at three times to legal limit while he was speeding, the crash resulting in the the deaths of four pedestrians and brain damage to his friend. Despite pleading guilty to four counts of manslaughter, the judge accepted
Longtown, Ohio is one of the only places where races didn’t matter two centuries ago. Interracial marriages were happening here without argument or trouble. This system of liberty and freedom of the races was founded by a freed slave from Virginia named James Clemens, who later became a rich farmer, but this system is close to being abolished because of the decrease of the original Longtown population. Their places are being taken by whites and they are also purchasing their property. This will eventually move out the people of Longtown and be a city of whites.
What it means to be an American Argumentative Essay “It takes one, to know one” a quote by the Unknown. America has many different people with many different races. Every single person, no matter where they originated from, or where their ancestors originated from, has the power to make the world a better place. The article is about a life of a man who came from France and fought in the French and Indian War. He was one of the few people who stayed behind and accepted the new beginnings of a new, free world.
And why shouldn’t we encourage and celebrate kids coming out as LGBTQ? It’s bad enough that kids (and adults) have to stay in the closet out of fear getting beat up. The only thing people within the LGBTQ community want is to not to be fired from their jobs, not get attacked just for expressing who they are. People within the LGBTQ community also want to have the same rights as everybody else.
The American dream at one point was what drew people to American; the right to life, liberty, and the happiness. The American dream is the hope to acquire currency, large homes, raise a middle-class family, and pursue what brings people joy in life. But in the year 2016, the American dream becomes hard to believe in. The American dream may still exist, but it is not equally accessible to all Americans. This is true because the American dream is not affordable for everyone, it is not available to everyone from different degrees of education, and race and ethnicity creates large social barriers.
Renaissance essay. The next Renaissance will take place in the USA. There are many things that a notion or place can have or not have that could make another Renaissance more or less probable. If there were to be another Renaissance I believe that it would take place in the USA. It would take place in the USA because of their good education system, strong economy, large amount of trade partners, and diverse political and cultural views.
In being seen as different and as challenging a societal norm, they are often ostracized and discriminated against. Therefore, in an investigation into the higher rate of suicide among LGBTQ youth, people should not look to them for the cause, but to themselves and their stigmatization of the LGBTQ youths because people perceive them as “different from
Freedom Anyone in the world with an occasional source of internet has no choice but to see the seemingly outrageous news stories, posted weekly on events in the US. American’s have made their distrust in the government more than obvious, which in many cases, the government has provoked. The largest debate in the states today is the with the concept of freedom and where the lines are drawn between social security, equality, and one’s rights. Freedom is and always has been heavily emphasized in the development of the 50 states. It’s brought peace and war both figuratively and literally.
America is a big superpower, a force to be reckoned with, and a corporate country. America is built upon freedom and money just like anywhere else. But with the way I think that were going, that’s the only thing America will be in the future. And the American dollar will be worth less and less, and the economy will crash more and more. Like I said earlier America is a corporate country based upon cash.
I envision the future America as a sanctuary that will protect and love the citizens of this country more than it is shown in the society of today. I imagine that the violence and chaos that is present today will eventually be defeated if we can conquer it with compassion and understanding. When we provide good work ethics along with focus, America will be built up the way it was intended to be. The thirty-third president of the United States, Harry S. Truman, stated, “America was not built on fear. America was built on courage, on imagination and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand.”

A topic that is always discussed in America is with the increasing number of immigrants will there be an increase of terrorist attacks? One of, if not the most important issue regarding child welfare is the role parents play in their children’s lives. A major issue facing the protection of children is lack of proper parenting education. According to research by the National Children’s Alliance “More than 3 million American children are investigated for child maltreatment each year. " The site also states that “Nearly 700,000 children are abused in the U.S annually" and even more alarming statics is that “In 2016, an estimated 1,750 children died from abuse and neglect in the United States.” A major part of this issue stems from parents who overwhelmed or are underprepared to be parents lacking the proper resources and parental knowledge to take care of their children.
Albert Einstein once said, "Everybody is a genius... But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid". Unfortunately, most school systems depict this quote. They judge a significant amount of the population by their ability to answer a few questions. They rate them with letters and numbers, and force students to be represented by these letters and numbers for the rest of their lives.
