Airplane Argumentative Essay When the invention of the first airplane was developed, it was a very big turn of events during the 20th century. Once the word finally got out, people were going crazy as if it were a superhero. All of the time leading up to the release of the plane, people had always questioned if it were possible to even get the aircraft to lift off of the ground. The public has something coming for them though. The world would soon be changed forever and ever. First off, even though this topic was chosen for an invention that was created during the 20th century, the first planes were developed long before this. Although, the first self manned, flight sustainable plane was created in 1903 by Wilbur and Orville Wright. They started off by creating many different sizes and shapes for their wings. Unfortunately, 90% of their designs resulted in nothing but failure. Over the past 100 years, the airplane has been remodeled, re designed, and innovated in many different ways. It was started off with an extremely simple design that only had a 12 horsepower engine to thrust it along the way. In 1917 they came out with the first all metal airplane and it was known as the Junkers J-4. Later on, in 1928 the first electronic flight simulator was introduced to the public. In 1932 a major curveball was thrown into the airplane innovation process. At this time, they released the first jet engine prototype. In the 1950’s they released the B-52 bomber which came in extremely clutched when used in wars between many countries. In the 1990’2 they released the SS Concorde which could travel at speeds upwards of 2200 miles per hour. This could fly from New York to London in a measly 3.5
