Did you know that over 4,000 people have been killed by the Ku Klux Klan? Did you know that the first car was made in 1893? Along with the invention of the airplane, all of these events have changed America greatly and have made an impact. The invention of multiple kinds of transportation has not only made our lives easier but allows us to fly all over the world and experience different things. In all, I think these are some of the most important events when talking about the Roaring Twenties. The invention of the automobile was a major event in the Twenties. Before cars, people got around by horses and wagons. In 1920, the automobile was the most popular product. By mid 1920’s, there was over 100,000 gas stations in the U.S. In 1929, there was a car for every five Americans. The government also spent over 1 billion dollars on the manufacturing of highways and bridges. Not only has the automobile produced a lot …show more content…

First, it was mainly used for transportation. Many people used airplanes when they first came out. Planes have also helped develop more vehicles like jets and helicopters. About 4600 airplanes were built in 1928. These were mainly used for transportation. Next, came war. Airplanes have helped us win many wars and protect our country. We used them in WW1 to fight Germany and Austria-Hungary. We then began attaching weapons and guns onto them to give us an advantage. Lastly, we used them for research. In 1927, the Spirit of St. Louis was driven over to Paris by Charles Lindbergh. After 33 hours, he made it over to Paris. After that, we began flying all over the world to discover new things. We then flew to Antarctica at which everyone wanted to go. They all wanted to be viewed as a hero when the landed on Antarctica.
