Boy Fishing
Around the year of 1912, a large family resided in a small, cozy cottage down by the peaceful river. There were two adults, six children, and one dog. The father’s vocation was in a lumber company and the mother enjoyed working as a homemaker. As soon as, their eldest son, Marcus, graduated high school, he yearned to go on an adventure before he starts his job. He desires this journey to be all by himself therefore, he can ponder about decisions for his future. His parents dislike the fact of Marcus hiking alone, but they understand that he is an adult now and deserves this freedom. After a while, they delivered their conclusion to him, and his heart became overwhelmed with excitement.

Marcus had hoped that if he would scream for help maybe someone would hear him and offer him a helping hand. Sure enough his wish came true. There was an older gentleman by the name of Mr. Kevin, who lived in a log cabin a little ways down the river; he heard someone yelling and rushed to the rescue. Working together, they conquered the wolves; after the battle they returned to the boat to fish. While they were fishing, He asked Marcus why he was deep in the wilderness. Marcus proclaimed why and what he had in mind for a lifetime career. Immediately, Mr. Kevin provided Marcus with advice that he never forgot. He told him, “When it comes to making decisions, always remember to do what God wants for you, and not what you desire for yourself.” Marcus informed Mr. Kevin how thankful and appreciative he was for his concern. Soon after, they said their goodbyes and Marcus departed. When he arrived home, he shared all the amazing and horrible times with his family, and what he had decided on for a career.
