College has always been a part of my life, but the most memorable moment was attending a college campus for the first time on February 2, 2017. My sister, mother, and I attended a meeting for the enrollment of a high school, which began at 6 pm. This high school was located in a college campus. It was a pretty big campus with kids all around of all ages. I am assuming many people have gotten lost on this campus, including myself. Not being as nervous as I expected, I walked inside and then proceeded towards the meeting area along with my family. Approximately hundreds of kids along with parents were in this room. There is always an option of community college, which is free. It has been known that non-graduates are given less money due to the fact that they stopped their education at high school. The article, “Middle Schoolers: Why College?” states, “Every bit of education you get after high school increases the chances you will earn good pay. Most college graduates earn a lot more money during their working years than people who stop education at high school.” Employers are looking for employees who have a degree, seeing it as a sign they are intellectual and work hard. Another observation is that businesses have been known to higher college graduates because it looks better on their resumes. The article “The Undercover Recruiter: What are the Main Benefits of Hiring Graduates” states, “Often a great business decision, choosing to hire a student or a recent college graduate gives all businesses much more job description flexibility.” This quote shows that it is preferred to hire college graduates because it provides more “flexibility.” Not only will the chances for a good job with good pay will increase after attending college, but it is possible to receive a good
