The United States no longer posses the ability to effectively drive down premium costs through the means of insuring healthy people. For example there is a town with ten houses, and, on average, one house a year burns down. If no one in the town pays for insurance they have a 10% chance of their house burning down each year. If everyone in the town pays insurance they spread the risk because no matter whose house burns down no one will have to pay anything as the insurance company will cover the cost of the house that burns down each year and make a slight profit. This is the same logic applied to the whole medical insurance market.
The nature of the current debate surrounding the implementation of universal healthcare in America is troubling because it is comprised almost entirely of pragmatic arguments void of concern for the principles behind the project. Before one asks how much a thing will cost, how it will be organized, or whether “the uninsured” will benefit, one should ask whether enacting universal healthcare is in keeping with the values and principles of the American experiment. In other words, is universal healthcare good for America? Universal healthcare is not good for America.
The United States should not have single-payer healthcare because it will lower the quality of health in the country. It will decrease the amount of new medicine created in the American medical field. It would also cause a large financial strain in the federal government having to pay for the healthcare of over 320 million people. It will also decrease the number of doctors in the field because there will no longer be the incentive to become a doctor. It will also cover individuals who have no desire to have a healthcare plan which will place a further burden on the government.
The Affordable health care act, popularly known as Obamacare, it’s a law that makes affordable health care available to more Americans since there are million of uninsured Americans and it will be cutting the rising cost of health insurance. Because of this law that grants coverage to everyone, it is increasing the rate of demand and consumer expending, making a great impact in the economy especially to GDP and economic growth. Also, not only there’s an increase in spending but also the labor market has been growing, since the employment rate has been increasing in the health care sector. Health care is very costly, but not having any is even more costly. The U.S. is always trying to make healthcare affordable. Affordable health care comes in package that tells you that the insurers will provide to pay for like the mint pay for majority of the medicine you need. Do to the unwanted Obamacare, Donald Trump is trying to create an improved form of Obamacare, but, it is hard because, Trump would rather just get rid of it and start new, but due to the laws that can not happen. Citizens cannot be turned down for coverage because of preexisting conditions, and everyone is required by law to have health insurance coverage. Health care is the maintenance and improvement of physical and mental health, especially through the provision of medical services. Don 't you believe that this is a right and dignity of all people should be able to have. Your body should be taken care of no matter the gender,race,health,or social economic back ground it is a right. Health care deserves to be able to be taken care of. I believe that universal health care for everyone is very important it will benefit people from the richest to the poorest.
Healthcare is something everyone needs and should be able to get, but right now that is not happening. In America there are millions of people who don’t have healthcare insurance. This is because some can’t afford the insurance plan. There are also millions more who have health insurance, but can’t afford using it. This means that they are paying for an insurance plan, but the deductibles are so high they can’t afford to go to the doctor.
