I have a Dream by Dr. Martin Luther king, Jr., is one of the most popular and powerful speeches doing the civil rights movement. The speech was delivered on August 28, 1963 at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. Dr. King was surrounded by clergymen, politician, and other civil rights officers and leaders. It was a speech that will forever be in the history of our nation. The speech is about freedom, racism and segregation. Dr. King talked about a great America, and the Emancipation Proclamation. There were millions of Negro slaves who fought long and hard to be free. The Emancipation gave them that right but the Negro still was not free.
