Children are supposed to be innocent and pure at heart. They are full of dreams, imaginations, and the simplest form of true happiness in society at any given time. But is this really true? Adults like to think that it takes time in order for someone to become corrupt, but William Golding disproves this in his book The Lord of the Flies. Golding explains that on an isolated island filled with just boys, the last thing they do is stay pure and fit the mold of what children twelve and younger should act.
