Think of an America where not one person is able to stand for their own freedom, think if this country had every word and action decided for each person without their input. Scary right? There are approximately 1,280,000 people serving in the armed forces to this day, every day those soldiers protect us, sacrificing their own lives for our country making sure that we keep our freedom. If anything, we owe it to veterans that we provide adequate health care for them, eleven percent of veterans in afghanistan develop PTSD and about twenty veterans commit suicide everyday, these suicides happen because not all veterans are given the right services and care that they need due to them not being able to afford it. The veterans aren’t the only ones being affected either, it’s their families as well. About 300,000 veterans have died waiting for healthcare and the government still has not taken any type of action about it, we should be giving back to them for what they’ve done not let them suffer and die. Our soldiers spend months, even sometimes years away but come back home penniless, injured, and mentally scarred with nobody that can give a helping hand out to them, no human being should ever be shunned away …show more content…

We are in dire need of change for our veterans in this country, actions must be taken before there is more rises in death and other problems. There is a number of things we need to do with Tricare, we need to make it required, affordable, shorten the waiting times, increase the mental health services, and get better funding, these are all plausible and doable solutions, we just need our government to finally take the action and stop putting it off as if it’s nothing. Our government has such a long history of setting things aside that need to be done even when they can be resolved almost
