I never really saw anything explaining to me that suicide was a really big problem and that it could be fixed. Suicide is an important issue because it is the third leading cause of death for children ages ten to fourteen and the second leading cause of deaths for people ages fifteen to thirty-five("Teen Suicide."). In a report, about every 12.95 minutes a person commits suicide. This adds up to more than 40,000 deaths a year in the United States.("Teen Suicide.") “America is in the grip of a sustained rise in the suicide rate across all age groups and for both sexes. Suicide is a very important issue that can be fixed. Mental disorders can be fixed, just as the bullying can be stopped. The people who need help can get it and not take their own lives to escape. I would really appreciate it if you would take action on this issue. I don’t know what the law says about guns, but if it isn’t already, can you propose a law that makes it so guns are supposed to be in safes? If not in safes, in hidden spots with trigger locks? I also don’t know what the law says about bullying and what the perpetrator will be punished with but if it isn’t a serious punishment can you try and change that? I haven’t seen much about suicide awareness at school, online, and even out and about. Could you arrange a rally to spread suicide awareness? I also thought that you could hire people to make ads online to raise suicide awareness; tell people with mental disorders or suicidal thoughts to get help; and to report bullying.
