The higher education policy is helping many students afford to continue their education. The bill is now giving more money to students who worked hard in school and have high grades, high test scores, and community volunteer hours. Through the Bright Futures program, a ”Florida Academic Scholar is eligible for 100 percent of tuition and fees” and a “Florida Medallion Scholar is eligible for 75 percent of tuition and fees.” The bill was an addition to the Higher Education Act of 1965. "Since 1965, the Higher Education Act has been reauthorized eight times."
The higher education bill will help upcoming college students who would otherwise be struggling with student debt. For the students who worked hard to get amazing grades they will be rewarded
