When reading this piece of work, one can say that it is a misogynistic from Walek’s violent treatment towards Walkowa. I picked vaccinations because I like reading articles about vaccinations and how everything is done or what vaccinations help every different type of diseases and cold to help people. I support vaccinations and how they help kids because if they're were no vaccinations then it would be a lot of unsecured diseases and some diseases that could kill the whole world and grow and mutate. Every school is recommended to have kids too take flu shots or send their recent vaccinations shot up too date too let them know, that your not caring anything and your healthy.
Science & Public Health Vaccination started in the 1790’s after Edward Jenner performed the first vaccination in 1796. During Jenner’s time, 30-60% of people were diagnosed with smallpox and killed about 400,000 person per year, estimating a total of about 300-500 million deaths. Jenner noticed that the milk maids had fair skin and were immune to smallpox. He formulated a hypothesis that maids were exposed to cowpox and were therefore immune the to the deadly smallpox and he was correct. What he came up with was the idea to inject cowpox into humans with smallpox to cure them and this began the first ever vaccination.

Deadly diseases including measles, polio, whooping cough, rubella, chickenpox, meningitis, and more can be prevented by a simple injection.
In 2014, the United States had a record number of reported measles cases with a total of 667 cases in 27 states. This was the largest number of cases since measles had been documented as being eliminated in the United States in 2000 (“Measles Cases and Outbreaks”). In fact, most people who contracted measles were unvaccinated. Measles are just one of the many diseases that can be controlled by vaccinated children early on. These diseases that once resulted in hospitalization, death or lifelong consequences have now become preventable childhood diseases.
You 've most likely heard the argument of if vaccines should be required for kids. It 's a pretty controversial topic and many people have very strong opinions on the matter. If you were to ask for my opinion on the topic I would say that I 100% agree that vaccines should be required. I think that vaccines should be required for a plethora of reasons; and their not my opinion either, their based on factual evidence. The first reason i believe that vaccines should be mandatory is that they truly save children 's lives.
In 2012, Brady Johnson lost his life due to lack of vaccination. He was diagnosed with measles, which is an easily preventable disease, as the MMR vaccination is 93% effective. With two doses of the MMR vaccine, it then becomes 97% effective. Measles is an infectious viral disease which causes fevers and a red rash on the skin. This disease typically occurs in children and when infected is very serious.
Pro Vaccination Since the invention of vaccines, it has created a huge impact worldwide. As a child begins to start school, their required by the state to receive their twelve routine shots. The children who receive all their shots have a greater chance of not contracting any diseases. Required Immunity Mandatory vaccinations for children in public schools have been the center of much debate since laws were first developed to regulate immunization. Fears from parents about side effects and adverse reactions have steered many away from wanting to vaccinate their children despite the numerous infectious diseases they prevent. These debates have gotten in the way of progression in schools for preventing the spread of disease. To me, the risks of not vaccinating children are far greater than the risks of adverse reactions.
Many people may think that vaccination is a bad thing, that instead of preventing it causes illness, that is not natural. Natural or not, there are many reasons as to why we should vaccinate us and the younger generation. Most of the time children don’t like vaccination because it hurt, but is the responsibility of a parent to seek the wellbeing of his or her child. Vaccination it’s a preventive measure of various diseases. Unfortunately, things like the anti-vaccination movement, the misinformation on the Internet, and the believe that vaccination causes more damage than is worth, have led our society to think that it’s right not to vaccinate.
I do believe that Vaccinations should be required because of my personal experiences with vaccinations. While I was a young child many of the vaccinations really helped me strengthen my immune system. I believe that it depends on the type of vaccination if it should be required or not. There is fear and controversy in this because the faith the people put into the government and the medical field. I will go into more details on why or why not we should be required to have vaccinations.
Modern medicine provides people with the ability to protect themselves from the world’s most fatal diseases. Merely a century ago, it was not uncommon for a child to die as a result of diseases such as polio, pertussis, and tuberculosis. Today, it is highly unlikely for a person to contract these diseases, let alone die from them. However, refusal of vaccinations has been increasing throughout the years due to the anti-vaccination movement. This movement declares mandatory vaccines unconstitutional and vaccinations overall as the cause of autism.
How likely is it for a child to get a disease? “Statistically, the chance of your child getting a vaccine-preventable disease may be relatively low. You are making a wager” (Childhood 1). Mainly, parents don’t want their children to be vaccinated in order to attend public school or tend to lack taking them on time to get the shots. A vaccination is being introduced to the body which will then produce an immunity to a specific disease.
