According to " The Case Against High-School Sports" (2013), sports could create some study, health, and time management problems for schools and students. In this post, Amanda Ripley initially shows the benefits when involving in the high-school sports: exercise, sportsmanship lessons, some positive personalities, more fun and staying away from vices. She also writes some tales to inform readers that in the US, students are interested and enjoy in sports more than other peers in other countries. However, she claims that the high-school sports have negative effects on schools and students. Next, she gave some schools ' examples to show the problems when schools and students spent too much time and money in high-school sports.
Michael P. Auerbach, a journalist that argues that school fees should not effect if you can play in sports or other school activities state's, “School administrators have begun charging fees for classroom supplies, school athletic programs, academic clubs, and other activities.” Which if you do not pay you do not get to participate. gTo me that is unfair. A kid that wants to be involved in a sport but cant just because of money. Michael P. Auerbach,a journalist that notices that, “In light of these current trends, most school districts in the united states have been forced to implement budgets that cut programs, reduce staff, and also close schools.”
School administrators have been debating whether to keep, or end after school athletics. Due to sport suspension, more students have successful grades. Therefore, schools should suspend sports in order for students to improve grades, to reduce costs, and adjust American academics. As educators know, students should focus on schoolwork instead of sports to improve their grades. For example, in the fall of 2012, Premont Independent School District had 80 percent of students pass their classes compared to 50 percent the previous semester (Ripley 10).
High School Sports Should be Funded Every year 300,000 students are participating in sports (Gould 1). The School District has been funding the athletics program, which has been benefiting many of the students’ lives for several years. The discontinuation of high school sports will cause many students to loose the health, social and educational benefits provided by participating in athletics. The School District should continue to fund sports because they benefit students.
Have you ever played tackle football? If so you should know that playing at a young age can cause damage to brain as you get older and older. Kids that started before the age of twelve have been proven to have a damaged brain as they get older. Kids of such young age should be able to play football but maybe flag football is better to start with. For parents to keep their children safe they should not let their kids play tackle football until they are twelve.
The stress can get so intense, it feels paralyzing. That’s why it is important than ever for schools to invest in their athletic programs,” states the sports article “Should Schools get rid of Sports.” Schools should keep their sports programs because they help improve academics, help improve mental and emotional health, and improves social skills like being on a team. Schools should not get rid of their sports programs because they help with student’s academics.
Should sports be Co-ed? Is It safe for sports to be Co-ed. Sports should not be Co-ed because male and female have different body and different mass. A female may be able to agile , while males can leave more than a female. There is a big difference in between female and male.
Did you know that depending on the sport, students who play sports in college most likely have less than a 2% chance of becoming professional athletes? At middle schools, high schools and colleges across the country, everyone is arguing over whether or not students with failing grades should be allowed to play sports. In my opinion, a good education is so very important for our country’s youth, especially the athletes. Not a lot of kids are good enough to play in the top college sports programs in the country. But even those who are, still have an astonishingly low chance at making the professional leagues.
Knock, knock do you think that football should be a sport well some people say it should not and other people say it should so today you are going to learn three reason why they should be a sport and why they should not first reason people say it should not is because you can get injured, you could get a concussion, and the good reason is Let them play, those are my three reason To begin with, people think it should not be a sport is you could get injured you can get injured in many ways you can get tackled head to head you can get a broken foot you could get a broken hand you could get sacked, there are many ways you could get injured playing football for example a in sorce one it states brain injury can result when a player uses his helmet to hit another player in the helmet this is called a head to head hit and the NFL's rules impose a penalty on a player who uses this tactic.that is one example that what could happen. Furthermore, people say that it can cause a concussion a concussion can happen if you do a head to head tackle but alot harder and football players suffer of concussion a concussion is a when you get tackled so hard that you lose your memory when you lose your memory you cant remember anything, alot of players suffer from a concussion football

Today I was asked to write an essay on whether or not students should have recess. I think that instead of just saying yes like most of the class, I’ll try to give reasons as to why students should not have recess. First off, recess is not required. Students do not need to go outside for 30-45 minutes a day to learn what to do to succeed in life. Second, it prepares students for later in school.
Have you ever wanted to live an active and healthy life, as well as an improvement in grades? I believe youth sports will help all of those problems and many more. Most sports are team sports that also teach your child teamwork. Playing youth sports is a terrific experience for you or your child. There are many reasons why I feel that children should play youth sports.
Sports can enhance the cooperative and strategic strategies. The passage states that, “understanding the competitive process entails an appreciation of the social nature of competition, particularly with regard to the cooperative and strategic aspects of sports and an awareness of the nature of individual roles within a cooperating group.” The last reason, which it the academic benefits, proves that you shouldn’t take away the sports for school. The kids that play sports benefit in the classroom a lot more than regular students.
In this day and age with professional athletes being at the top of the social spectrum, youth sports have gotten very popular. “More than 26 million children ages 6 to 17 played team sports in 2014(Rosenwald).” Youth sports are very popular because it brings the great feeling of being on a team. When you are on a team you feel like you can do anything together, and nothing is stopping you. There are also many flaws in youth sports.
So imagine walking into a local rec center and seeing little 5 year olds working hard. Running up and down the court with a coach close behind watching everything. Are they not quite old enough to work that hard? It’s possible at the age of 3 years old to play t-ball, and soccer at the age of 4. The age of sport keep getting younger and younger.
