Many people are for the idea of year round education and many are against it. “If our country began on a year around schedule, it would have seemed bizarre to propose the summer- off schedule as a superior way to educate students” says Principle Hazel Colebank. Although some may feel year round school is great for bettering education, changing what’s considered normal could cause more harm than good.

Some students already know what they want to do with their futures and the decision is easy, but for most they have to weigh their options carefully and decide on what will best suit them. Traditional college is always pushed on students throughout high school, and it seems Trade schools are always forgotten. Trade schools teach a specific set of skills, tuition is cheaper, and the classes are shorter than a traditional college. Trade schools have several options for career paths that teach students a specific set of skills instead of a broad degree like in traditional college.
This article indicates that there is an increasing trend of arguments claiming that liberal arts education cannot fully prepare students for the future job market than the professional fields. There are some schools reduce the fund for the arts and humilities courses such as philosophy. Instead, the spending in the STEM program has been increased. However, those schools and parents have little understanding of what liberal arts education are as it providing students with the “soft skills” that the most important skills employer acquired when hiring stuffs. Is Four-Days The Way Imagine if we had a four-day school week instead of a five-day. Some school districts have changed from the traditional five-day school week to a four-day school week. The National Education Association should consider making the changes to a four-day school week, because it will save school districts money, students get better scores, and there is better attendance. One compelling reason is, that students will get better scores on tests. Whether year-round schooling should be enforced in Florida schools has been a recent debate. Florida schools should not take part in year-round schooling schedules because it makes sports and jobs very hard to get too, also year-round schooling gives teachers insufficient time to prepare for the next school year. Even though year-round school gives students more breaks, there is no proof that it helps students academically. So traditional school is better and should stay in Florida.
What is a charter school? Well, charter schools are an emerging alternative to public education and private education since a law was passed back in the early 90s. This past election cycle, the Libertarian Presidential Candidate was a strong proponent of these types of schools with a voucher system. His whole idea was to essentially get rid of the current public school system, mostly the districts and give the parents a certain amount of money and the power to select a school of their choosing. It sounded like an authentic idea, and is honestly what motivated me to actually look into the education system.

Unfortunately, most school systems depict this quote. They judge a significant amount of the population by their ability to answer a few questions. They rate them with letters and numbers, and force students to be represented by these letters and numbers for the rest of their lives.
