Traditional school versus Year round school The idea of year round school is starting to be more the topic of discussion. Many people are for the idea of year round education and many are against it. “If our country began on a year around schedule, it would have seemed bizarre to propose the summer- off schedule as a superior way to educate students” says Principle Hazel Colebank. Although some may feel year round school is great for bettering education, changing what’s considered normal could cause more harm than good.

However, those schools and parents have little understanding of what liberal arts education are as it providing students with the “soft skills” that the most important skills employer acquired when hiring stuffs. Every high school student must make a decision on what type of secondary school to attend. Some students already know what they want to do with their futures and the decision is easy, but for most they have to weigh their options carefully and decide on what will best suit them. Traditional college is always pushed on students throughout high school, and it seems Trade schools are always forgotten. Trade schools teach a specific set of skills, tuition is cheaper, and the classes are shorter than a traditional college. Trade schools have several options for career paths that teach students a specific set of skills instead of a broad degree like in traditional college.
Is Four-Days The Way Imagine if we had a four-day school week instead of a five-day. Some school districts have changed from the traditional five-day school week to a four-day school week. The National Education Association should consider making the changes to a four-day school week, because it will save school districts money, students get better scores, and there is better attendance. One compelling reason is, that students will get better scores on tests. Whether year-round schooling should be enforced in Florida schools has been a recent debate. Florida schools should not take part in year-round schooling schedules because it makes sports and jobs very hard to get too, also year-round schooling gives teachers insufficient time to prepare for the next school year. Even though year-round school gives students more breaks, there is no proof that it helps students academically. So traditional school is better and should stay in Florida.
What is a charter school? Well, charter schools are an emerging alternative to public education and private education since a law was passed back in the early 90s. This past election cycle, the Libertarian Presidential Candidate was a strong proponent of these types of schools with a voucher system. His whole idea was to essentially get rid of the current public school system, mostly the districts and give the parents a certain amount of money and the power to select a school of their choosing. It sounded like an authentic idea, and is honestly what motivated me to actually look into the education system.

Also if The Charter school you are trying to enroll in gets too popular they will sometimes use a lottery system which will fill in the vacancies.
Evan is a frustrated high school student at an urban school. Homeschool vs public school- an insanely controversial debate in which a student’s success and future are put on the line. The schooling years of a person are absolutely detrimental to whether or not that person will grow up to be prosperous and happy in life. It used to serve a purpose, like the heart in a person 's body, but now it is basically just boring students more and more. Nowadays at the end of the day, we all just want to go home.
