Working at the factory provides Lyddie with a great deal of money, more than she has ever got before. If Lyddie had not gone to the factory she would have no money left. Before Lyddie worked at the factory she had a different job. Before the war, US interrogators were desperately in need to question Curveball since they got intelligence that Curveball was making weapons of mass destructions. Request by US interrogators to speak to curveball face to face fell in dead ears claiming that Curveball could not speak to Americans. In 2002, local CIA division chief met with German intelligence officer to arrange on how US interrogators could meet face to face with Curveball, but the CIA chiefs request was never granted. German intelligence officer claimed Curveball was mentally ill so there was no need to see him. On my opinion, the people to blame for this Curveball debacle would be the German intelligence officer who could not allow an interrogation session with Curveball.
Chris McCandless was in his early 20’s, he was the kind of that guy that wanted to learn and experience life without all of the material things. He wanted to be independent from his parents and friends so Chris did something that would be insane for most of us humans but to him, it wasn’t. He went into the wild of Alaska for months, in fact, McCandless even thought he could make it out alive at the end of his journey. As a matter of fact, he was known as being a risk taker and enjoyed being out and about in the nature side of the world. Many would believe that Chris McCandless went into the wild to purposely kill himself; however, I myself believe that McCandless did not do it purposely.

Unit 2: EA2 Argumentative Essay Reflection What I feel I did well on this argumentative essay was my research. I had many sources that provided me with facts and statistics and they helped me to decide what side I was on. There were many sources that I did not use but that I had read through. What I struggled with was commentary.
Decisions made in the 1850s ultimately decided the United States fate. From the election of 1856 to the Dred Scott case, the nation would become divided into two. The South was pro-slavery and supported the idea of slavery expanded into western territories, while the North opposed of the idea and was mainly against expanding slavery. Until the 1850s the nation barely balanced the slavery issue.
You’re 16 years old and you wake up in a metal box remembering nothing but your name, what do you do? While most of us would shrivel up and cry Thomas, the centerpiece of the novel The Maze Runner written by James Dashner, gets up and fights to find a way out until doors open above him and sunlight blinds him. It took just forty five days for United States citizens to acquiesce their rights to freedom and privacy for the sake of safety following the events of September 11, 2001. Forty five days is how long it took the United States Congress to pass a law that gave up the very concept of liberty upon which this country is founded. The morning sky was a brilliant shade of blue with not a cloud in sight in New York on that fateful day of September. That all changed at 8:45 AM when a Boeing 767 jet plane tore into the north tower of the World Trade Center.
