Howard Dully wrote a book about his life, also about how he received a lobotomy. His book is called, “My Lobotomy.” A lobotomy is a surgical operation involving an incision into the prefrontal lobe of the bain. Howard should not have received a lobotomy for many reasons.

I completely agree with your claim regarding how unethical the lobotomy procedure was and how Freeman’s thought process was completely opposite of that of a physician as he only believed in conducting the surgical procedure on mentally ill patients while rejecting the negative long-term results of what the lobotomy did to the individuals. Based on the videos, I found the entire procedure to be absurd in nature as well due to no proper form of equipment being utilized to carry out the surgery making it more irrational. Chris McCandless was in his early 20’s, he was the kind of that guy that wanted to learn and experience life without all of the material things. He wanted to be independent from his parents and friends so Chris did something that would be insane for most of us humans but to him, it wasn’t. He went into the wild of Alaska for months, in fact, McCandless even thought he could make it out alive at the end of his journey. As a matter of fact, he was known as being a risk taker and enjoyed being out and about in the nature side of the world. The Crucible In The Crucible, Arthur Miller shows though his text, how a central character can find his or herself in a situation where they are either in physical or psychological danger. In The Crucible John Proctor finds himself in both physical and psychological danger. While Proctor attempts to reveal the truth about Abigail’s lies by calling her lies out and physically forcing Abigail to tell the truth about their affair he also is putting himself in much danger. While attempting to reveal the truth Proctor puts his name on the line, he puts his relationship with his wife on the line, and he puts his physical well being on the line. Proctor’s attempts show how a central character can find his or herself in situation where they can experience great danger.

The act Donating Organs, either prior to death or after death, is considered by many to be one of the most generous, selfless and worthwhile decisions that one could make. The decision to donate an organ could mean the difference of life or death for a recipient waiting for a donor. Organ donations offer patients new chances at living more productive, healthy and normal lives and offers them back to families, friends and neighborhoods. By having bids on life or death situations can have a negative effect on people with low to no income waiting for an organ. The only lawful procedure for someone to receive an organ transplant as of now is to be placed on a waiting list. Human organs that are sold is considered human trafficking because it is the process of selling or transferring human tissue by force (National Institute of Justice, 2007).
Imagine having to endure so much pain and suffering for a majority of your life that you would just want it all to end. Well, there is a way one can stop their own pain and suffering and it is called euthanasia. Euthanasia is the painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable and painful disease. The act may only be done solely to those diagnosed with terminal illnesses such as cancer, aids, and heart disease. Many people agree with the idea of euthanasia as it can help those who are suffering be stripped of all the pain they are enduring.
