Stamper explains girls have their own story of support or discrimination, success also the debate of girls be allowed to compete on boys’ sports team. First, the writer Title IX explains female athletes are been treated second-class for long enough and should pass of inequalities and biases of girls. The writer also clarifies that girls doing sports make them healthier, physically, and emotionally. Other girls that don’t play sports are less likely to use of drugs. In addition, she notes a former Stanford University basketball player Mariah says, strength and independence of things girls learn from sports, the opportunities that are changing women.
Tim Burton uses camera shots and angles to show how Edward Scissorhands doesn’t fit in with the town. Burton likes to use close-ups of Edward’s face when he’s in a stressful or dangerous situation. The main scene this paragraph will be focused on is how Edward gets trapped in Jim’s house. Sports have always been a male dominate sport, especially in schools. It took many years of schooling and fighting for females to be able to participate in sports and have equal education opportunities. “The passage of Title IX, the 1972 Education Amendments to the Civil Rights Act, expanded high school athletic opportunities to include girls, revolutionizing mass sports participation in the United States (Rammell, 2014, pg. 136).” Since the legislation, Title IX was passed, sports offerings for boys and girls has changed. Title IX has created many opportunities for girls and young women today since it began 40 years ago.
There hasn't ever been a female in the NFL. Women should be allowed to play in the NFL considering their previous talent, league involvment, and the alternative, displaying that women deserve the ability to join men’s sports leagues. Women are already involved all around the National Football League. Sarah Thomas is highly praised by ESPN writer Ashley Fox, as she said “Thomas is a trailblazer,”. She has done lots in her career as a referee for the NFL, and there are many more to come like her.
This makes it difficult but not impossible for a female to be able to get a chance to play football in the same league or group with all males. First of all boys are very competitive when it comes to sports, and they try to get every point or catch that they can possibly get. This would lead to if there were girls on the same team they would never get the ball. This would cause an issue between the teammates. Secondly if girls played on the same football team as guys did

When was the last time you saw a female American football player in the media? In most cases, the response would be never, due to the lack of women who play American football. American football is associated with masculinity and patriotism. Although Title IX prevents discrimination on the basis of sex, it seems as if American football is an unwritten exception to that law. The media is one of the main reasons to the lack of female football players.
Sports should not be based on whether you are more interested in girls or guys sports; it should be based on which sport brings in more revenue and has the most participation
From the Friday night lights to the last second goal, school sports are a major part of the high school journey. In fact, according to "Are High School Sports Good For Kids?" by Daniel Gould, Ph.D., over five million students from the United States participate in a school sport. High school sports are a great way for student-athletes to stay healthy, make new friends, and be a part of a team atmosphere. In addition, school sports keep kids off of the streets and lower the athlete's chance of committing a crime. School sports are a tremendous way for student-athletes to create new, meaningful relationships.
I do believe that they should be able to be on the same team without the feeling of others disapproving of their choice. With that being said, I think we should make sports more open to both genders. Such as making a boys and girls volleyball team or a football team that allows both boys and girls to join. I know a change like that may not happen for a while, but why not start trying
Gender role is a social role based on behaviors and attitude to be considerably acceptable for people based on their perceived sex or sexuality. This is determined based on how a female and male should think, speak, dress, and interact within context. Not only does it play a role in sports but every other aspect from education to working. This has been an issue is society for a long time now because many women have been discriminated. This is by being unable to participate in sports in high school and in college.
Large numbers of schools around the world, but particularly in the U.S., give students the chance to partake in team sports after school, but this may not be as healthy for children as we thought. Since this may cause unfavorable effects, districts should eliminate after school sports to cut costs, make time for other academic activities, and eradicate the low grade average they are causing. Many may feel it is a wonderful idea for kids to play sports, but being involved in after school athletics may not be so great after all. According to an article by Amanda Ripley, sports can cost schools a great deal of money, up to $150,00 a year and by eradicating these sports, schools can save thousands of dollars (10).
