Plato is arguably one of the most popular philosopher of today. His many ideals and thoughts lead to many dialogues written down and written in books. He was born in 428-7 B.C.E and passed away in 348-7 B.C.E., since it was so long ago the date isn’t entirely correct (http://www.iep.utm.edu/plato/). Plato was raised by a wealthy family and most of his family members were interested in politics. Philosophy is really interesting because everyone is easily inspired by their teacher. Socrates, a well-known philosopher taught Plato, then Plato taught Aristotle. When Plato wrote, “You’ve received a better and more thorough education than those other philosophers” (248) Meaning that philosophers have a really good education, since Plato was taught by Socrates, he was able to learn about different philosophies. He provided a lot of wisdom and notes that had led to many discoveries, whether it be personal, scientific, or mathematical. He has helped people consider different aspects of things and possibilities. Plato wanted everyone to reach Eudaimonia which means fulfillment, philosophers are people that come up with ideas and morals to help strengthen themselves or the people around them.
