Immigrants can be said to be a person who comes to live in foreign country permanently. Every year, hundreds of thousands of immigrants, legal and illegal, from around the world, have come to the United States seeking a better life for themselves and their family. These immigrants have many different motivations; some enter the U.S hoping to get a chance of a better life; others are refugees, escaping civil wars or persecution in their country. Many of these immigrants believe the United States is the best place to go. There are more freedom, opportunities, protection and benefits which are important issues for immigrants. Immigration policy should be reformed and immigrants should be treated with more compassion. In the essay “The Immigration Writes” written by Arnold Schwarzenegger, He states that “we can have an immigration policy that both strengthens our borders and welcomes immigrants"(cite) He wants there to be a policy that makes our borders stronger. At the same time, Arnold does not want to discourage the immigrants that would like to come to America; he wants our laws to welcome them with open arm. He also states that we should recognize the root of immigration to solve it. Schwarzenegger mentions the wrong choice that American makes. He says that "In a free society it 's not possible to have border security. We are advised that in order to secure the borders, we must deport 12 million people"(cite). His refutation of these arguments is bringing up the cost how much it would take. He states that immigration form is really impossible, but brings up an idea that the best way to deal with the immigrants is with love and compassion.
In conclusion, we can say immigration presents a far more positive image of the impact of immigration on American Society. They help in the development of the nation and make life in the USA better and fulfilling for both natives and new arrivals.
