This lesson plan reaches students in a variety of ways since it employs movement, music, and visual aids. The First Thanksgiving – Group Playwriting or Song Composing lesson plan includes appropriate content, a variety of techniques and strategies for instruction, the expectations for students’ final work product, and a specific rubric that will be used as a summative assessment to check for students’ understanding of the content using their final production of their play or song. This artifact shows that I understand the necessary components for effective planning of instruction and that I have a clear understanding of how the use of multiple strategies will result in the most success of students in the classroom setting.
