This rifle is; fun, extremely economical to shoot and its very accurate. Many new in the box bolt-action rifles may arrive without their bolts installed in the action. Semi-automatic rifles are a threat to the lives of children and adults, regardless. The United States possesses most of the world’s guns and has the highest gun ownership rate internationally; many of those firearms will find themselves into malicious hands and the people of the U.S. need to seize them before more people die. The recent debate over banning semi-automatic rifles has risen to the nation’s attention; rates of mass shootings are rising and recent shooters have been using assault weapons to increase the rate of how many people they can kill in a given time. It is time that semi-automatic rifles are to be swept off store shelves. People tend to get tangled in opinions and quotes on rather semi-automatic weapons should be banned or not, such as if they are protected by the second amendment, halting lawmakers from banning them.
These types of weapons only benefit the military and there is no reason for a regular citizen to own a military level weapon. Opponents argue that they can be used for personal protection and recreational use but there is no logical reason to use a semiautomatic gun when you’re just trying to “have fun.” A New York Times editorial argued, “Certain kinds of weapons, like the slightly modified combat rifles used in California, and certain kinds of ammunition, must be outlawed for civilian ownership.” As many Americans agree assault weapons are far deadlier than other firearms (Assault Weapons). “From 1984 to 2012, assailants who used large capacity ammunition magazines were able to shoot 161 percent more people and kill 78 percent more victims than those who used a weapon holding 10 bullets or fewer,” Argued Richard Aborn, president of the Citizens Crime Commission in New York (Assault Weapons).
But what should be done about assault weapons? There should be no reason for homeowners and everyday citizens to own such things as an AR-15 or a Machine Gun. Assault weapons should not be permitted in the US. The majority of assault weapons that are used for these shootings are acquired legally by shooters. In some of the most recent major attacks, “killers in Las Vegas and Orlando attacks… walk into gun shops and legally purchase assault weapons” (Ingraham).
Weapons are deemed as a significant element for military strategies all over the world. Overtime, these illicit weapons distributed to police forces have caused injuries some at minor at levels and whilst some are deemed at extreme levels. Electronic stun devices and other less-lethal weapons are marketed as offering unmitigated benefits to both police and public safety, with this statement there are various problems also associated with these devices such as unnecessary injury and deaths. There are various intentional injuries that police officers are affected by whilst working, the prevalence of injury in the force is rather high. A semi-automatic gun can kill a lot of people in a short amount of time and it is hard to tell when someone is carrying a semi-automatic handgun. Making it easy to walk into public places and commit a mass shooting. Semi-automatic pistols are the leader in mass shooting weapons and many use them to commit crimes. A majority of these handguns are used for home defense and recreation.

For many years, America has been regarded as one of the world’s most perilous and ferocious countries in the world. The death rate caused by active gun shooters in the US is extraordinary: “since 1968, more Americans have died from gunfire than died in … all the wars of this country 's history”. Hence why public ownership of guns should be abolished in the USA. Can you imagine to what extent the death rate in America has increased by now?
